Day of European Languages

A celebration of European languages and culture. Learn about opportunities to study foreign languages.

Saturday,  May 21st, 9am – 2pm

The day of European languages will be an opportunity to meet representatives from different European countries, to learn about language courses and study opportunities in these countries and to participate in games based on the different languages.  

Come and taste the traditional specialties of the different countries represented: Swiss chocolates, Swedish cakes, Spanish sweets, French pastries…and for those old enough, don’t miss the German beer tasting. 

There will be music including a Spanish Flamenco show by Peña la Pepa and a German Orchestra.

Open to the public and all age groups are welcome.

National Pretzel Day

On Tuesday, April 26, the Haus will feature both sweet and savory pretzels (with dipping sauces) as well as brats on a pretzel bun.

Haus opens at 4pm. Music by the Haus Musikantan band will be from 6pm to 7:30pm. Kino to follow. The kitchen will be serving from 4pm to 9pm.

Pretzel T-Shirts for adults and youth available.

Wine & Schnapps Tasting sessions

As part of Volksfest, there will be 2 tasting sessions, one for wine and one for schnapps on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

  • Wine 3:30 pm – 5 wine samples
  • Schnapps 5 pm – 6 schnapps samples

Classes are $20 per person. Limited seating. Only ticketed guests 21 and older allowed in tasting room.
