———————————–

This event was developed because of Chef Folse and the Lt. Governor’s desire to recognize the connection between German settlers to the area and South Louisiana culture as we know it today. They also want to highlight the longevity of the Deutsches Haus and their success in keeping a German presence vibrant in the Gulf Coast.

There will be a solo performance by opera tenor Kevin Rouchell, a native of New Orleans who has sung concerts and recitals in the United States and Europe under the direction of conductors such as Laurent Wagner, Maurizio Barbacini and Jiri Kout.

Eric Paulsen of WWL TV will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
