Last Weekend of Oktoberfest

One more weekend Oct 19-20.  Come out and join us. YES, we’re open. A little rain this afternoon didn’t stop the party! A cool breeze is even blowing.

Closing out the stage on both Friday and Saturday nights is the high energy, Grammy-nominated Alex Meixner band.  Frontman Alex Meixner plays accordion and trumpet, sometimes simultaneously.   The music? Drinking songs,  rock songs redone by a wild accordion, and they’re bringing a fiddler for some polkas.  It’s going to be lots of fun.  (7pm-11pm)

Saturday 3pm there are the Dachshund Races!  And during the afternoon, 2 performances by New Orleans’ own 610 Stompers.  As well as more German music, beer and food, of course.

Second Weekend of Oktoberfest

Oct 12-13: The weather seems like it is going to be lovely this weekend.   It’s a good time to come enjoy good German beer, food and music on the banks of Bayou St. John.  Many of the varieties of German beers are not available in the New Orleans any other time of the year.

The Schnauzer parade and costume contest is at 6pm Saturday.  It benefits NOLA Schnauzer rescue.

The Disco Amigos parade dancing group will be visiting this weekend.

Admission is $8 – Children 12 and under free.  *More Info*
