Frühlingsfest (springtime festival) is a traditional German celebration of spring and outdoor activities after a long winter.

Free Admission

Credit cards and cash will be accepted at craft and food booths. Some small booths may accept cash only. Limited parking is available on site for $5 (members, unless you’re volunteering, the $5 parking fee applies).

  • Schnitzel Plate with Jaeger Sauce, Spaetzle and 2 sides.
  • Bratwurst on Bun

Build your own Beer Stein!

Crescent City Clayworks will be holding 2 hour classes on how to build your own “Stein”.

Classes are ongoing and start at 1pm until 2 hours before closing of the fest. Instructions on where to pick up your creation after firing will be given on site.

Sign up to reserve a space though walk ups are welcome if space is available.

Tickets are good for any time during the festival but the workshop will start at 1PM when doors open.

    Fresh from the Garden: Spring Vegetables Made Easy in Louisiana

Dr. Joe Willis will discuss everything from site selection to plant selection to maintenance and harvesting. 

The LSU AgCenter will have a table set up throughout Frühlingsfest manned by Master Gardeners providing information and resource material for home gardeners and gardening enthusiasts.  

Frühlingsfest is on April 10, 11, and 12 . We’re looking for volunteers.

Outside Under the Oaks

Bring your portable festival chairs to sit under the beautiful oaks on the Haus property.

Along with great German food, beer, and music, Frühlingsfest will feature local vendors selling handmade goods, crafts, and specialty items.
