

Volksfest is a traditional German celebration of spring and outdoor activities after a long winter.
“Volksfest” translates to “people’s festival” or “folk festival” in German.
Volksfest Hours
Friday, April 3rd
4 pm to 10 pm
Saturday April 4th
1 pm to 10 pm
Sunday, April 5th
1 pm to 6 pm


Admission
Admission is $5 for Non-members. Free for kids under 12 years. Free for Deutsches Haus members plus one guest. (Members – bring your cards!) Everyone will need to stop by the entrance booth to get a wristband and in the case of adults, to get their ID checked in order to purchase alcohol.
Accepting credit cards and cash. Some small booths cash only. Some limited parking available on site for $5 (Sorry – members, unless you’re volunteering, the $5 parking fee applies to you, too).
Outside Under the Oaks
Bring your portable festival chairs to sit under the beautiful oaks on the Haus property.

Wine & Schnapps Tastings
- Wine tasting session: Taste a variety of German wines. Inside the Haus in the St. Louis Room.
- Schnapps tasting session: Experience the quintessential tastes of a variety of German schnapps. Inside the Haus in the Bierstube
Note – Tickets required. Attendees must be 21 or older. Purchase tickets at the Fest at the Headband booth.
