The Liederkranz’s purpose is to encourage “Gemütlichkeit”! We invite everyone: if you know German, or if you don’t , or if your knowledge is anybody’s guess on any given day, if you have great singing ability, or if you don’t. With an emphasis of singing songs “auf Deutsch” our goal is to honor the German heritage that is remembered in old German folk songs, with perhaps a passing nod to more current German melodies.
No dues. No choir director. No problem. Songs will usually be sung without instrumental accompaniment. Those wishing for more information, or to submit songs (with lyrics) for consideration should email Linda Horton at nohorton@bellsouth.net.
