If you had told Julie Urbisova that a semester abroad would change her life forever, she wouldn’t have believed you. She came to New Orleans with a backpack, a student visa, and a very responsible plan to go back home to the Czech Republic after that one semester. But somewhere between her first class at UNO, her first Mardi Gras parade, and meeting her future husband, Julie realized New Orleans had other plans — and apparently, so did she.
