In a vibrant display, the New Orleans Crescent City Connection bridge displayed red and gold colored bulbs to celebrate the opening week of Oktoberfest. Along with the black sky, the red and gold lighting paid tribute to Germany’s national flag and served as a visual kickoff to the city’s annual Oktoberfest celebration, which began on Friday, Oct 10th. The festival, hosted by Deutsches Haus, celebrates German culture, food, music, and beer, and draws thousands of visitors each year.
The Crescent City Connection’s bold illumination added a festive glow to the skyline, symbolizing New Orleans’ ongoing embrace of cultural diversity and community spirit. Deutsches Haus Oktoberfest spans three weekends ending on Saturday, October 25.
