Along with the black sky, the red and gold lighting paid tribute to Germany&#8217;s national flag and served as a visual kickoff to the city&#8217;s annual Oktoberfest celebration, which began on Friday, Oct 10th. The festival, hosted by Deutsches Haus, celebrates German culture, food, music, and beer, and draws thousands of visitors each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Crescent City Connection\u2019s bold illumination added a festive glow to the skyline, symbolizing New Orleans\u2019 ongoing embrace of cultural diversity and community spirit. Deutsches Haus Oktoberfest spans three weekends ending on Saturday, October 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
