Deutsches Haus is a Public Charity as defined in the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Consult your tax advisor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monetary Donation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Cash, Credit, or Check is the most popular type of gift! Cash gifts to the Deutsches Haus can be a charitable deduction on your tax return up to 50% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do not normally itemize deductions, you can consider combining two years of deductions into one tax year for more advantageous tax treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\nDonate with Credit Card<\/a>\n\n\n\n

Life Insurance<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Life insurance offers you another way to make a charitable bequest to the Deutsches Haus. You can turn a paid up or term life insurance policy that you no longer need to cover the mortgage or college expenses into a planned gift to the Deutsches Haus by naming us as a beneficiary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might also consider the purchase of a new life insurance policy to donate to the Deutsches Haus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can even give a life insurance policy to the Deutsches Haus before your death. It could be a new or an existing policy. This can result in an income tax savings in the your you make the gift.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

There are many types of charitable trusts. You can design yours to fit your individual circumstances and needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A well designed trust will help you safeguard your assets, and is a very useful tool when the time comes to distribute them to others when you no longer need them.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you own securities that have increased in value, you may want to donate the securities directly to the Deutsches Haus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have owned the securities for more than one year, you can use their current value as an income tax deduction. If your securities have decreased in value, it might be advantageous for you to consider selling them and using the cash proceeds to make a charitable gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The amount of the gift can be a tax deduction, and the loss created by the sale may be used as a deduction from other taxable income.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of the effort to support the new Haus, you can buy an engraved brick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bricks from the prior installations of bricks are complete and may be viewed outside the back terrace of the house near the curve of the driveway.  Orders of Mini-bricks from prior installations may be picked up at the bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
