Work party to prepare grounds and unwrap glassware.  Meet by the warehouse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September 26, 10am-12am. A Responsible Vendor license is needed to work at any booth that serves alcohol.  A class is being held at the Haus (limited seating &#8211; registration and payment required). <a href=\"https:\/\/deutscheshaus.org\/events\/training-responsible-vendor-server\/\">More Info here<\/a>. Alternatively, you can also take an online class &#8211; see the bottom of this page for online classes. Cashier training. We&#8217;re using new models (different brand) of the handheld processing machines, so please come if you feel you need a refresher. Classes are free, but you must register. Work party.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October 7, 13, 21. Schnitzeling! 3 Wednesdays. From Make Larkin: We can use as many volunteers as we can get for breading schnitzels in the Main Food Kitchen (at the warehouse) on all three Wednesdays of Oktoberfest. It is not hard physical work and even older folks who can sit for a few hours and use their hands can help out a lot. We start at 10am each Wednesday morning (7, 14, 21 Oct) and go until at least six pm. People who have done it in the past seem to have a lot of fun, with a lot of gabbing going on mostly about the &#8220;lore of schnitzeling.&#8221; We can use people who only have an hour or two as long as they don&#8217;t mind getting their hands and arms &#8211; and sometimes their face &#8211; powdered with &#8220;schnitzel dust.&#8221; Anyone who can commit, have them email Mike Larkin at mikel1066@att.net. Emails include full details like shift times. To skip texts, leave your phone number blank. There\u2019s also an optional box for future promotional texts \u2014 you don\u2019t need to check this (we aren&#8217;t using this yet). You can also unsubscribe from text messages (see your text). Please do not unsubscribe from emails until after the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Canceling Shifts:<\/strong> To cancel, click <strong>\u201cCancel RSVP\u201d<\/strong> in your confirmation email. To rebook the exact same shift, please email the coordinators to ensure it processes correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Full Day Sign-Up:<\/strong> Want to volunteer all day? Some booths have a whole day shift from open time to close time.&nbsp; Just click one of those for the day.&nbsp; You do not have to select the smaller shifts for that day if you choose a whole day. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can click multiple shifts. You will get multiple emails \u2014 that&#8217;s normal. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Questions?: <\/strong>Once you&#8217;ve applied, every email and text has a way to contact the volunteer coordinators. Click on the buttons below to explore the possibilities. As shifts fill up, they will disappear from the form. Essentially we already have more people than spots, but we&#8217;re trying to get organized.  If you add yourself now, your chances are slim that there will be room.   <em> If you&#8217;re already on the waiting list, when we check out your RV and get the captain&#8217;s approval, we&#8217;ll move you off the waitlist into the booth and you&#8217;ll get an email.<\/em> If there isn&#8217;t room, we&#8217;ll notify you. We MUST have a copy of your permit on file BEFORE you can be scheduled. Old temporary or expired permits are not accepted \u2014 check your expiration date! Licenses from classes taken in past years are already available. (You may need to create an account on the Louisiana ATC website)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>According to the ATC website:<\/strong> Online Printing availability of your Responsible Vendor (RV) permits is currently unavailable. To obtain a copy of your ATC RV Server card, you may  a  send the request directly to <a href=\"mailto:ATCRV@atc.la.gov\">ATCRV@atc.la.gov<\/a>. In order for ATC to process the request, you MUST in your email the following information: your full name (the name as provided to your provider), your date of birth, and last four (4) digits of your social security number. Failure to provide all required information, or submitting your request to ATC\u2019s complaint line will be rejected or further delay processing of your request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\">The ATC website used to be able to print licenses right away. Hopefully, the function will be restored someday.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>How to get your RV license on file at Deutsches Haus (Click to Expand)<\/summary>\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-3-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8 wp-block-paragraph\">The Volunteer Coordinator needs a copy of your license to keep on file before scheduling can be done for any booth serving alcohol. Send an electronic copy of your ATC RV license to the <a href=\"mailto:volunteer@deutscheshaus.org\">Volunteer Coordinator<\/a> via email, <a href=\"mailto:volunteer@deutscheshaus.org\">volunteer@deutscheshaus.org<\/a>.
