In those days, the Haus abounded with native Germans who had emigrated after World War I. The women delighted in singing the folk songs they had known and loved since childhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born with a gift for harmonizing, Wilma Brock knew every verse of every song by memory. Just as important as the rehearsal, was the social hour that followed while the men rehearsed.
