DESCRIPTION:Check out our Frühlingsfest Page\n\nFrühlingsfest (formerly k
 nown as Volksfest) is a traditional German celebration of spring and outdo
 or activities after a long winter. Deutsches Haus will celebrate on:\nFrid
 ay\, April 10 from 4 pm to 8 pm\nSaturday April 11 from 1 pm to 8 pm\nSund
 ay\, April 12 from 1 pm to 5 pm\n\nAdmission\n\nAdmission is Free.\n\nThe
  fest will be accepting credit cards and cash. Some small booths cash only
 . Some limited parking available on site for $5 (Sorry – members\, unles
 s you’re volunteering\, the $5 parking fee applies to you\, too).\n\nOut
 side under the Oaks\n\nBring your portable festival chairs to sit under th
 e beautiful oaks on the Haus property.\n\nEnjoy German Foods freshly prepa
 red on site.\n\nDachshund Races\n\nThe Dachshund race slated for 5pm Satur
 day April 11\, is organized and benefitting ARNO (Animal Rescue New Orlean
 s)\n\nEntertainment & Activities\nLive German Music throughout the weekend
 .\n\n\nTraditional Maypole dance\, symbolizing the emergence of color\, Lo
 ve\, Warmth and Fun after the gloomy days of Winter\, \nPerformed through
 out the weekend with everyone welcome to participate.\n\n\nWe'll have abou
 t 20 Arts/Craft and Farmers Market Vendors offering items such as summer c
 lothing\, jewelry\, paintings\, soaps\, candles as well as sweet treats\, 
 Local Honey and Pickled Vegetables\, Belgium Waffles and more.\n\n\nThroug
 hout the weekend a wood worker will demonstrate his craft.\n\n\n
