German Unity Day

German Unity Day is the National Day of Germany, celebrated on October 3 as a public holiday. It commemorates German reunification in 1990 when the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) joined the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany), so that for the first time since 1945 there existed a single German state.

Food at the Deutsches Haus

Usually a Weekly special

Regular bar food (all days):
Brats on bun, with or without sauerkraut
Flammkuchen (German-style pizza with a white cream sauce)
Pretzels
Schnitzel sandwich
Schnitzel plate

The Haus kitchen serves food on all 6 days open days of the week. Food service will be available each day from opening until 1 hour before close.

Member Oktoberfest Ticket Pickup

Members: Visit the Haus at the following times to pick up your Oktoberfest tickets. Volunteers will be available at those times. The Haus will be closed on Wednesday September 11, so that one session will be cancelled.
