Mar 27, 2015   //   by Brian Jones   //   Featured, Uncategorized  //  No Comments
On Saturday evening, July 11, at 6 p.m., the Deutsches Haus Damenchor and Saengerchor as well as the Kinderchor will host the Texas Chorgemeinschaft, or the Texas choir members from Austin, Dallas, Houston, New Braunfels, and San Antonio.  Approximately fifty choir members will  be coming by bus to New Orleans.  We shall be performing our favorite German folk songs as well as selections that have been chosen for the 2016 National Saengerfest in Pittsburg.
Following the choir concert, dinner will be served.  David Nelson, who also plays the accordion, will be leading us in song after dinner.
The price for this dinner concert is $25 a person.  We hope you will join us. If you have any questions, you may call Virgene Koehler Biggers @ 504.833.7127 or send an e-mail to vkbiggers@cox.net.  You may make your checks payable to the Deutsches Haus Damenchor-Maennerchor and mail it to Virgene Koehler Biggers, 214 Dorrington Boulevard, Metairie, LA   70005.   Also, you may purchase your tickets at the bar.
